Friends, diseases are just like shades of people. Sometimes they appear, sometimes they disappear. But as long as you live, it seems that they will not disappear eternally.
In your life as a human being, you struggle with diseases quite often. At the meantime, you cherish the hope that you can free yourself from the disturbance of diseases forever, and become a healthy person ever since.
Qigong master Qinyin, who have dedicated many years in studying human health, Qigong and balance, holds the view that there is no absolutely healthy person in the world. Lately in a Qigong lecture she presented at Beijing University, she proposed her view of human health and rejuvenation. According to her opinion, real health can only be reached through the balance of the mind. A small imbalance in our mind often can easily materialize into real diseases over time.
Qigong master Qinyin also thinks that the human body, the earth, and the whole universe are all related in a subtle way. "The position of stars and the impacting waves resulting from their collision in the universe can all affect human beings in some ways. These influences are unavoidable for the human being and also for the whole earth." Therefore, humanity living in this dynamic environment must learn to adapt to nature. They should pay attention to the change of seasons and adapt their life styles accordingly. Most of all, they need to adjust their minds into a healthy balance. According to studies conducted by Qigong master Qinyin, the fundamental causes of diseases are the following.
First, because of the invasion of external disturbance, the original vital qi (energy) in the body gradually declines. As the loss of energy qi deepens, people become more susceptible to illness. So there is a correlation between the degree of health and the level of energy qi in our bodies.
Second, excess in various aspects such as extreme fluctuation of emotion, imbalance in mind, bad living habits or stress. Most of all, incessant distracting thoughts are the excess among excesses. "We discovered that the major reason for getting near-sightedness is due to continuously applying eyes to read books, watch TV etc. This causes the disorder of stomach and intestine, and therefore reduces the ability of liver to detoxify. Thus clean qi can not come up while dirty qi overflows and affects the eyesight. Emotionally, we are destined to face many unsatisfactory situations in our lives. Sometimes people just can not handle them healthily. We are prone to set excessive goals to us, including desires, greed, hatred, stubbornness, and vanity etc. We are often trapped in the imbalance of human relations.
The last reason of getting ill is the bio-chemical responses of our bodies. It is very important for health that what we eat and when. "Human brain processes different signals from the body like a sift. For example, some people feel uncomfortable today with full stomachs. Some will go to see a doctor and have some medicine. And they went on to have the same meals. But if you change another way to deal with this situation, such as reverting to vegetarian and unsalted food, or just boiled water, or just skip a meal completely, it might prove to be more effective and helpful. Some people make wrong judgments about their own bodies, and take in too much medicines which make them really sick.
Friends, our health is in some extent determined by whether the qi channels are smooth in our bodies. If you feel uncomfortable in some part of your body, this means that the qi channels there are not very smooth. If you are not sensitive to this response, toxins may accumulate continuously for a long time. This will make this part of your body change unfavorably and get ill. At the same time, your brain will give you the signal that that part of your body is uncomfortable. For a healthy person, his or her qi channels are all smooth, and there isn't any blockage. Therefore he or she doesn't feel comfortable.
For the purpose of maintaining and recovering one's health, Qigong master Qinyin gave the following three practical suggestions based on her experience for many years. First, try to keep a good attitude in your life. Learn to cope with different relationships under complex situations in order to have a peaceful mind all the time. Second, based on the idea of health and balance, Qigong master Qinyin designed simple movements (Qinway Qigong, or Qin Way to Health and Rejuvenation) for people to practice. Each of these Qigong movements only takes minutes to complete, yet the healing power is unbelievable. Qigong master Qinyin further explained that Qinway Qigong is particularly effective for patients with obesity or near-sightedness according to many successful recovery cases of her students. Third, the use of natural energy, esp. energy inside of our bodies. To achieve that, you have to learn some "high-level techniques" in Qigong training from a qualified master.
Qigong master Qinyin thinks that the desire of humanity to maintain lasting health is achievable. What we need to do is just giving up our "greed" and unhealthy thoughts, and facing our lives with calmness. Thus it is possible for us to live in a bright and colorful world full of vitality.
"The current knowledge that we have should not become an obstacle towards acquiring new knowledge. We shouldn't be trapped in our old and incorrect notions of health. On the other hand, we should try to find methods that are effective in maintaining and improving our health. I hope that the result of my Qigong research for years could be shared by as many people as possible, so that they can master these methods and always have health."
