1. Qigong Story #1: An Old Monk and A Little Monk

Once upon a time in a high mountain in China, there was an old monk and a little monk. The old monk was a famous high level Qigong master, who healed diseases instantly by simply waving his hands. The little monk started to follow the old monk when he was thirteen years old. Year after year, all the little monk did was to fetch water from the bottom of the mountain, cut wood for cooking, and many similar chores. As the old monk got older, the little monk took care of the old monk's personal hygiene.

Time flew. Now the old monk was in his 70s and the little monk was already a man in his 30s. One day, the old monk knew that he was going to die. He called the little monk to his bedside and asked," You have followed me for so many years, but I have never taught you anything. Do you have any regrets?" The little monk replied, "I do what you tell me to do. I don't regret." Now the energy frequency channel of the old monk was perfectly fine-tuned with that of the little monk. The old monk said a few words to the little monk and passed away, and suddenly the little monk inherited all the powers of the old monk.

2. Qigong Story #2: Tiger or Rock

Hundreds of years ago, General Guan Li was leading an army in the North of China to fend off harassments from China's nomadic neighbors. One windy dark night he was out watching the border. Suddenly, he saw a tiger with a shiny white forehead prowling the forest. He instinctively drew out his archer and shot. He was pleased to see that his arrow had hit the tiger's white forehead, and contented, he went back to his camp.

The next day he returned to the forest to see his game. To his surprise, he found his arrow deeply entrenched in a big rock. How was this possible? He shot at the rock several times, but each time the arrow bounced back.

When the rock was a tiger in his mind, his arrow could pierce the rock. This is one reason why "mind power" is important in Qigong.
